I have always been fascinated with art and technology. My “artistic-mashup” style is a unique combination of these fascinations including digital design,  books,  3D elements, mixed media, encaustic wax and the 

nature that surrounds us.

My ideas come from old books, vintage found objects or a recent encounter with nature.  I take these ideas and digitally transform them using programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Fresco. I then print these new designs on pages from vintage books I have collected. This allows me to get the transparency look. The next steps are enhancing these pieces with traditional art mediums such ink, marker, paint and colored pencil. Then comes my favorite step – applying encaustic wax layered with 3D elements. You never know what the wax might do. I always think of it as a river, no matter how hard you try to control it does what it wants to do and usually it is a beautiful thing.
